TERMS & CONDITIONS British Car Rental, Kyrenia
Minimum rental age is 25 years: A Young Driver Fee of 5 GBP per day applies to drivers aged between 23-25 years, with a maximum of 100 GBP per rental.
Maximum rental age is 80 years: A Senior Driver Fee of 3 GBP per day applies to drivers aged between 75-80 years, with a maximum of 100 GBP per rental.
Driving Licence: The driver must be in possession of a valid driving licence for a minimum of 3 years before the date of the commencement of the rental. Driving licence must be for manual transmission vehicle unless an automatic vehicle has been requested.
Seat Belts: Seat belts must be worn by all vehicle passengers.
Driver: Only the registered driver(s) can drive the car.
Additional Drivers: There is no extra charge for up to 2 additional drivers.
To avoid a cancellation fee, please email firstname.lastname@example.org at least 48 hours prior to the start of the rental period should you wish to cancel your reservation.
Cancellations within 48 hours of pick-up time will incur a 10% cancellation fee.
We would be grateful if you could provide at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the start of the rental period should you wish to make any changes to your reservation. Requests will be based upon availability.
Cross Border Policy
Vehicles are not allowed to travel outside of Northern Cyprus. We can arrange airport transfers from Larnaca and Paphos airports.
A deposit of 10% will be required at the time of booking confirmation.
Car is provided with same amount of fuel and it must be returned with the same amount of fuel in order to avoid additional charges.
There is an additional option to choose 20 GBP worth of fuel prior to pick-up of the vehicle.
Depending upon pick-up location (i.e. Ercan airport and all long-distance deliveries), a 20 GBP mandatory fuel charge will be payable on delivery.
Fuel is non-refundable ie. No refund will be given for any petrol in the tank when the vehicle is returned to British Rent A Car at the end of the rental period.
The driver will be liable for all parking and traffic penalties incurred.
British Rent A Car will not accept any bill (including bills for any repairs produced by the renter).
Customers will be required to pay the full amount of the rental at the time of delivery/pick-up.
The following major credit cards are accepted: VISA, MasterCard. We do not accept AMEX. Payment by card will incur a 2% charge.
Cash payments are accepted in GBP, Turkish Lira, Euros, USD.
In case of an accident, theft, fire or loss of or any damage to the vehicle: Please contact the police immediately to complete an accident report BEFORE moving the vehicle or the insurance cover will be reduced. Immediately after contacting the police please phone British Rent A Car on +90 533 851 73 48.
CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)
If the Renter accepts to purchase the policy for CDW, the Renter takes liability for any damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle. The policy will only operate if the Renter and Driver are; not intoxicated or under the influence of drugs; not exceeding the legal speed limits; or if an on-site policy traffic accident report is submitted.
Under the terms of the insurance excess any liability for loss or damage will be limited to the first £300 of any claim. In the event of damage being the fault of the Renter they will pay only the amount to rectify the damage up to the maximum amount specified here. For damage incurred by the fault of another motorist there will be no excess to pay.
The limitation of the amount of excess afforded by the purchase of the C.D.W. depends entirely on the satisfaction of the terms set out in clause 7 above. No claim will be valid without an on-site police traffic accident report.
CDW usually covers the bodywork of the car and the engine.
CDW does not usually cover: windows and mirrors, wheels and tyres, undercarriage, interior of the car, flat battery, personal belongings, lost keys, additional equipment such as GPS, child seats or towing charges.
The Rental Period starts on the date and time indicated on the Rental Agreement and ends on the indicated date and time.
The minimum rental period is 3 days (based on a 24 hour period, returning the car before 10am).
Cars can be hired for 1 or 2 days at an additional cost.
If you return the vehicle before the end of the rental period then both the rental period and the Agreement will end on the date of the vehicles return. If you decide to return the vehicle early you will not be entitled to the return of any unused prepaid rental charges.
ID: Upon pick-up/delivery of the car, driver/s MUST produce a valid Passport and Driving Licence.
Late pick-up/Returns: Please inform British Rent A Car if there will be a delay in picking up your hire car. Cars returned later than 3 hours after the expiry of the rental agreement will be charged for an extra day.
Extending Rental Period
Should you wish to extend your rental period, please contact British Rent A Car via email or phone at least 48 hours prior to the expiry of the rental period. We will aim to honour your request but we are unable to guarantee extensions during busy periods.
If we have agreed that you may return the Vehicle outside of business hours for your convenience we will inspect the vehicle after the end of the Rental Agreement. Until this inspection has been completed any loss, damage or theft remains the responsibility of the renter.
Unlimited Mileage, VAT Local Tax (5%), Road Tax, Airport Surcharge, Roadside Assistance, Out of hours service, Additional Driver.
24/7 free emergency roadside assistance is provided in the following situations: Road accident involving a rental car, Flat battery, Flat tyre, Unlocking a locked car.
Refunds will not be given if the vehicle is returned to British Rent A Car before the agreed expiry date.
The Renter agrees to abide by all terms as stated in the Rental Terms.
The Renter agrees at all times to drive the hired vehicle with every proper care and attention and to observe the official road traffic regulations.
The Renter is obliged to check the oil level, water and tyres before taking delivery of the vehicle and keep them at the required levels throughout the rental period.
The Renter shall keep the said vehicle in good condition, ordinary wear and tear exempted, and will return the vehicle with all tools and accessories in the same condition as when received. The condition of the vehicle is recorded by the Owner and accepted by the Renter upon signing the Agreement.
The acceptance of the vehicle at the end of the rental period is not undisputed evidence of its good working condition and full complement of the tolls and accessories.
The Renter will immediately inform the owner of any loss or damage to, or fault in the vehicle and will return the vehicle while it is in an un-roadworthy condition or liable to cause damage to any person or property. The vehicle should be used only for private use and to carry the number of passengers according to the seating.
The Renter will be responsible for any damage and injury which is not specifically mentioned in this agreement or insurance policy including bodily injuries sustained by the passengers.
Without written authorisation the Renter shall not under-let the said vehicle or suffer it to be driven or otherwise interfered with by anybody other than the Renter himself, who shall at all times remain liable to the Owner for any damage and shall indemnify the Owner against any claim or damage resulting from such unauthorised use or interference or from any lack of care, negligence or violation of the law and regulations and will also be bound to pay 15 GBP to the lessor for each day up to and including the day of the full repair of the vehicle.
Breach of any of the conditions contained in the agreement by the Renter will render the agreement terminated thus giving the Owner the right to demand the immediate return of the vehicle.
The parties are bound by all conditions set out in the agreement. Should any action be filed in any court, then the defaulting party will have to pay all the expenses incurred thereby.
By signing the rental contract, the renter (and any additional drivers) acknowledges that they have read, accepted and agreed to observe by all terms and conditions as stated in the Rental Terms and Terms & Conditions.
BRITISH RENT A CAR reserves the right to alter conditions of rental, information and vehicle type without prior notice where necessary.
